Speed Racer's Birthday at San Diego Comic-Con

(San Diego) - August 1, 2002 - Go Speed Racer, Go! It was 35 years ago that Speed Racer first dashed across American television screens. Online pop culture retailer WickedCoolStuff.com and SpeedRacer.com are throwing Speed a birthday party this week at Comic-Con in San Diego. Fans are invited to drop by for Speed Racer trivia, screening of classic episodes, and birthday cake.
