Jeannie Returns in Black & White North Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) July 14, 2004 -- In advance of next year's 40th Anniversary of television's classic genii-meets-astronaut sitcom, WickedCoolStuff.com is proud to announce the release of an exclusive I Dream Of Jeannie Collectible! By special arrangement with Electric Tiki Designs, the online retailer has released the premiere edition 'I Dream Of Jeannie Black & White TV Tribute Maquette.' "Most people remember Jeannie in color," says WickedCoolStuff.com CEO Brett Dewey, "but die hard fans are quick to point out the first season was in black & white." The now-classic sitcom premiered in 1965 starring Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman. The first season was broadcast in black and white before going to color in its second season. Animator's maquettes are three-dimensional statues originally produced as reference for animators. This collectible "mini maquette" is inspired by the famous animated opening credits of the classic genii-meets-astronaut series. While a full color edition will be widely available, this special edition – painted in gray toned color scheme to celebrate 'I Dream Of Jeannie's premiere season - will be limited to 250 numbered pieces and will only be available from online pop-culture retailer WickedCoolStuff.com. Electric Tiki Design was founded in 2001 and specializes in producing collectible limited edition figures based on pop culture icons from comics, cartoons and television. A larger sized "Tooned Up Television" I Dream Of Jeannie Maquette was their first hit collectible. WickedCoolStuff.com is a web-only retail store selling pop culture toys, t-shirts and collectibles. Begun in a garage in 1999, they quickly moved to a North Hollywood, CA warehouse, which they are in the process of expanding now to keep up with the growing business. |
